The Queensland State Government has announced a Business Support Grant for lockdown-impacted businesses in Queensland.

Small & medium sized businesses eligible for the financial support can apply for a $5,000 grant. The grant is to assist impacted businesses with cash flow support.

Applications for the grant open mid-August. Whilst full details of the application process have yet to be released at this stage we are aware that eligible businesses will trade in the Local Government Areas (LGAs) whereby lockdown restrictions were enacted. Furthermore, eligible businesses must provide evidence that they experienced at least a 30% reduction in turnover as a result of the lockdown.
